the national guard has announced that an inspection of a former training site in capitola will be conducted. in THE 1920’s, munitions EXERCISES were held at camp mcquaide, where new brighton middle school, a park and homes stand today. an inspection was held at the middle school during recent construction and no camp remnants were found.
the inspections are set to begin on september 23rd.
