Governor Schwarzenegger today(fri) ordered some California National Guard members to be deployed to the Mexican border. The move is part of a federal effort to station a total of 12-hundred National Guard troops along the southern U.S. border. The Obama Administration had asked California to contribute 224-guard members to the force. The deployment follows a similar effort conducted in 2006.
