SALINAS – The name of the 17 year-old girl, who was hit and killed Tuesday in Salinas, has been released. Gabriela “Gabby” Beas, who was a senior at Everett Alvarez High School, was struck by a speeding motorcycle as she walked across North Main Street at Harden Parkway near the Northridge Mall. 28 year-old Andrew Bennett, the driver of the motorcycle, faces charges of vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving causing death, driving without a license, and hit-and-run.
