It’s a milestone for earthquake predictions in the golden state. The new “myshake” earthquake warning app sent out a first successful alert this week.
On Tuesday, the app alerted 41-users near Parkfield about a 4.3 temblor. There were no reports of damage or injuries in Parkfield but users were warned to drop, cover and hold on.
The “my shake” app was developed by UC Berkeley seismology labs.
