A Salinas man faces a sentence of 87 years-to-life in prison. That after 45 year-old Vincent Tyrone Fowler, who was convicted of murder in 1992, has now been convicted of raping a minor in 2015. Fowler, who is a friend of his 15 year-old rape victim’s family, was reportedly “caring” for the girl after she left school sick one day in October of 2015. Fowler is scheduled to return to a Monterey county court room for sentencing April 6th.
