A 28-year-old man accused of using his vehicle as a murder weapon, has been ordered to face the charges in court. A santa cruz judge ruled on Monday that eric weers should stand trial, for driving the wrong way on highway-17 in july. Weers struck a vehicle being driven southbound by 48-year-old ana luz Barajas. Barajas died at the scene. Weers is scheduled to return to court on November 29th, to schedule a date to start his trial for murder with implied malice and causing great bodily injury.
