The murder trial related to the 2009 killing of a 20-year-old man has been delayed. 20-year-old jose meza, 24-year-old angel Antonio Moreno torres, and 32-year-old joel sanchez are all facing murder charges with gang enhancements. They were set to go to trial in September, however after a scheduling conflict arose that required a change of public defenders, the trial has been delayed to early next year. The 3-are set to return to court on june 28th to set an exact date. All 3 men were arrested in june 2010, months after allegedly gunning down Richard campos while he sat in a parked car on watsonville’s roache road.
