Santa clara county sheriff’s deputies and fish and game wardens were involved in a shootout in mount madonna park thursday afternoon. authorities were in the park searching for illegal grow-operations, when they came across 2-suspects at 12:30 p.m. fish and game wardens and sheriff’s deputies discharged firearms, and 1-suspect was shot in the arm. The man fled, but later called 9-1-1 on his cellphone and arranged to turn himself in at a location in the park. The other suspect was being sought with assistance from santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies, along with a k9 units and a swat team. No authorities were injured in the incident. multiple rifles were reportedly found at the grow site.
