Although Monterey-Salinas Transit says that people can ride their buses fare-free, that comes with some new rules. Passengers will be asked to get on and off through the back doors, leaving the front doors for those who need the ramp to get in and out. Passengers are also asked to stay 6 feet away from each other, and to use hand sanitizer often while on the buses and at the bus stops.
