The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is giving its teachers a pay increase. District officials have made the decision to raise salaries in an effort to make the district more competitive with neighboring districts. MPUSD recently reached a tentative agreement with teachers to implement a 10 percent pay increase over three years. Trustees will vote on the agreement at a meeting on April 14th.
