The president of the monterey peninsula college board of trustees has announced his retirement. Doug garrison plans to remain with the college until august, when he will end a 30-year-career in the California community college system. Garrison has served as president of the board for monterey peninsula college since 2006. a special meeting is scheduled for friday afternoon, to discuss a replacement.
