Monterey Peninsula College’s president and superintendent will step down from his role come 2019. Walt Tribley announced the timeline for his departure Thursday, with his last day being Sept. 4, 2019. Tribley’s announcement comes months after the college had its accreditation restored and probation lifted. In a letter announcing his retirement, Tribley listed 30 accomplishments since he began the job. His replacement has not been named and no timetable has been set.
