NEARLY 4-THOUSAND RESIDENTS ARE FORCED TO FLEE THEIR HOMES THIS MORNING AS A WILDFIRE RAGES NEAR THE TOWN OF REDDING IN SHASTA COUNTY.
THE SO CALLED “MOUNTAIN FIRE” HAS CHARRED MORE THAN 6-HUNDRED ACRES AND SO FAR IS 40-PERCENT CONTAINED. MORE THAN A THOUSAND STRUCTURES ARE THREATENED BY THE FLAMES. MANY ROADS AND SCHOOLS IN THE AREA ARE CLOSED.
THE BLAZE BROKE OUT EAST OF REDDING EAST OF HIGHWAY 299.. AND THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
