A 57-year-old man was injured in a saturday motorcycle accident in santa cruz county. The accident occurred on the highway-1 off-ramp to airport boulevard. Freedom resident dirk kawata is accused of being intoxicated when he lost control of his motorcycle at 3:30 p.m.. Kawata was thrown to the ground when the bike overturned. He was airlifted of the county to be treated for his injuries; he was also arrested for suspected D-U-I.
