The Nation’s 7 most expensive counties are right here in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, and 9 of the top 10 are in California. Although San Mateo, San Francisco, and Marin Counties are in the top 3, Santa Cruz County is still within the top 10 most expensive counties to live in, in the entire United States. This data came from the “Out Of Reach” report that is put out by the National Low Income Housing Coalition.
