Santa Cruz County Mosquito Abatement and Vector Control is inviting everyone to a Halloween-themed Open House today from 4-7 PM.
The agency has newly remodeled offices and laboratory space. They will be educational demonstrations as well as trick-or-treats and refreshments. Topics include:
- Learn how to control rats and arrange a free rodent inspection
- See how to control mosquitoes in your own yard and get free mosquitofish
- Find out how we control mosquitoes with and without pesticides
- Find out where ticks are a problem and how to be tick-aware
- Check out the airboat and amphibious 8×8 ATV
- Learn about our yellow jacket and fly control services and how to defeat them your own property.
The free event takes place at 640 Capitola Rd. (just West of 7th Street) in Santa Cruz.
