a large grass fire in morgan hill last night was contained by firefighters before any homes were damaged. the 50-acre blaze threatened homes near mcdonald lane and diana avenue before helicopters and planes dropped water on the fire, fully containing it by 7:15 p.m. about 100 firefighters responded to the grass fire, including those from cal-fire, santa clara county and san jose fire departments.
