Although neither the Capitola nor Watsonville D.M.V. officers were scheduled to open today, the Salinas D.M.V. office (on East Laurel Drive) did. It is now 1 of the 71 d-m-v offices around the state to re-open….and one of the closest for many people in the Monterey Bay Area. Appointments are required at all D.M.V. offices….as are facial coverings and standing at least 6 feet from other people….and waiting outside until brought inside for the appointment, so they don’t have more people in the building than they are allowed to have inside at one time.
In the meantime, people are encouraged to continue to use the D.M.V.’s Virtual Field Office.
