TWO ADDITIONAL CATS WERE RESCUED FROM A HOARDERS HOME IN MONTEREY THIS WEEK FOLLOWING THE 48 ANIMALS RESCUED LAST SUNDAY. HUMANE OFFICERS AND MONTEREY POLICE SERVED A SEARCH WARRANT AT THE LOCATION ON FIRST STREET WHERE THEY RESCUED THE TWO CATS AND FOUND REMAINS OF TWO MORE CATS AND A SMALL DOG. 19 CATS, 24 DOGS AND 7 YOUNG PUPPIES HAVE BEEN RESCUED IN TOTAL FROM THE HOME THAT IS COVERED IN THREE FEET OF GARBAGE, URINE AND FECES. THE MONTEREY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS CONDUCTING AN INVESTIGATION INTO ANIMAL CRUELTY BASED ON THE CONDITION THE ANIMALS WERE FOUND IN.
