crews demolished a 3 story condemned building on west cliff drive yesterday. the 18-unit monterey tower had fallen into disrepair after 51 years. the homeowners association decided to tear down the structure and rebuild it. construction of the new building is expected to cost 4.6 million dollars. the homeowners association hopes to secure funding and begin construction on the new building by october.
