Monterey police arrested a suspected car thief on Saturday. Shortly before 9 A-M a patrol unit spotted a vehicle in the wharf 2 parking lot that had been reported stolen from Pebble Beach on Friday. As the officer approached the vehicle the suspect covered all of the windows and remained silent. Police eventually had to break a window and deploy a canine officer and pepper spray to take the suspect into custody. 37 year old Jason Robbins of Fresno was booked into The Monterey County Jail on multiple felonies.
