Monterey County is under a SHELTER-IN-PLACE order. This order becomes effective at 12:01 a.m. on March 18, 2020, and will continue to be in effect until 11:59 p.m. on April 7, 2020, or until it is extended, rescinded, superseded, or amended by the Health Officer. The order does not affect essential government services — services to protect the health, safety and welfare of communities. It also makes provision for the agricultural community and fieldworkers who keep food in our markets and on our table and provide other products for personal consumption.
