A Monterey County youth coat drive is helping those less fortunate. The Girl Scouts of America launched the One Warm Coat Drive in an effort for shoppers at the Del Monte Shopping Center to donate a new or gently used coat for Central Coast kids in need. All coats will be cleaned and given to the Boys and Girls Club in Seaside and Dorothy’s Kitchen in Salinas. Twenty troops are participating in this year’s coat drive. Saturday was the last day to donate, however Dorothy’s Kitchen accepts coats year round.
