Monterey County Board of Supervisors will review a report this week that looks at ambulance service costs. Tomorrow’s public meeting will be one of three where an independent consulting group, hired to evaluate a current contract with ambulance service provider American Medical Response, will present their findings. Fire chief’s countywide reportedly voiced their concerns last year about updating or ending the current contract with AMR, which they say needs to be improved both cost and service wise. The group however recommends continuing it’s contract with AMR without any major changes.
