Restaurants and bars in Monterey County will be ordered to close on Wednesday after the county remained on the state’s coronavirus watch list.
On Monday, Gov Newsom tweeted that the state had ordered Monterey County to close bars and indoor operations for restaurants, wineries, movie theaters, zoos, museums, and cardrooms to slow the spread of the COVID virus.
Public Health Officer Edward Moreno announced during the Board of Supervisors meeting that he would sign a health order on Tuesday and it will go in effect on Wednesday.
