The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary will hold an Advisory Council meeting in Cambria on Friday, June 21, 2019. The meeting is open to the public, and a public comment time is scheduled at 9:35 a.m.
Council members will receive a series of presentations and updates on various topics connected to the sanctuary including a southern region update, wildlife disturbance in the sanctuary, and determining the Advisory Council 2019 work plan goals. Action items including an anti-plastic pollution resolution.

WHO: Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council was established in 1994
to ensure continuous public participation in the management of the sanctuary.
Serving in a volunteer capacity, council members represent a variety of local user
groups, the public, and state and federal agencies. Specifically, the council’s role is
to provide the sanctuary superintendent with advice on the sanctuary’s resource
protection, research, education and outreach programs.
