A SALINAS MAN WILL REMAIN IN A STATE MENTAL FACILITY AFTER A COURT RULING MADE YESTERDAY. 42-YEAR-OLD SEAN ADAMS THREW SULFURIC ACID INTO THE FACE OF A BICYCLIST ON THE MONTEREY RECREATIONAL TRAIL IN 2000. ADAMS WAS COMMITTED TO A STATE HOSPITAL AFTER BEING FOUND NOT GUILTY BY REASON OF INSANITY. THIS WEEK, PROCEEDINGS DETERMINED ADAMS STILL POSES A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC AND WILL CONTINUE TREATMENT.
