A monterey man has been appointed as warden of pelican bay state prison. Governor brown announced that 48-year-old Gregory lewis will now lead the crescent city facility on a permanent basis. he has served as “acting warden” since 2010. Before that, lewis was the chief deputy administrator at salinas valley state prison.
