Airport officials attribute delays and diverted flights coming from the East Coast, are affecting flights on the Monterey Peninsula today. Officials say planes that were intended to land at San Francisco International Airport and San Jose International Airport are now being directed to Monterey. Extra security has been called in to handle passenger load, meanwhile, 15-flights so far today, are being diverted to the Peninsula Airport.
