GILROY RESIDENTS BANDED TOGETHER TO RAISE 17 THOUSAND DOLLARS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN CUT FROM THE VIOLIN PROGRAM AT ANTONIO DEL BUONO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE PROGRAM, WHICH FEATURES CHILD VIOLINISTS FROM KINDERGARTEN TO FIFTH GRADE, WAS HIT WITH THE BUDGET CUT THAT WOULD HAVE SLICED THE PROGRAM IN HALF. THE PROGRAM CURRENTLY HAS 75 STUDENTS, AND HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR THE PAST 13 YEARS.
