People from around the world have pledged money to help repair/rebuild the damaged portions of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris France….including at least 1 from our tri-county area (that chooses to remain anonymous). Along with the Crown Of Christ, and Saint Louis’s Tunic, one of the other treasures still inside the cathedral, that appears to have made it through Monday night’s fire (that destroyed the Spire and Roof of the more than 850 year-old cathedral) is the 18th century pipe organ. It remains to be seen if water or anything else has damaged it’s 8-thousand pipes. Some of the sculptures that are normally housed inside Notre Dame Cathedral were removed last week, during the ongoing renovation of the cathedral. The 50 investigators working on determining how the fire began, expect to interview workers from all 5 companies hired to work on the renovations (that were taking place when Monday night’s fire broke-out).
