A REPORT ON MEDICal care at CALIFORNIA’S 33 PRISONS was RELEASED and showed 2 of monterey county prisons came close to meeting acceptable levels of care. the report, COMPILED by the california office of the inspector general, showed that just 9 of the 33 prisons met minimum health care standards. the correctional training facility in soledad scored a 72 percent, and the salinas valley state prison earned a 74 percent score. a minimum acceptable score was 75 percent.
