The Monterey County Board of Supervisors will examine an oil and gas project at its Tuesday meeting. Trio Petroleum, Bakersfield-based company, says the drilling of new wells in an undeveloped oil field in Monterey County, could lead to dozens more production wells and millions of barrels of oil. If approved it would be the first large operation since county voters passed Measure Z, banning new wells in the county.
