In the wake of last month’s Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting … officials at the Monterey County Fair are increasing security.
A new security firm with many more patrol officers will be on hand to do bag checks at the entrance… as well as patrolling the 22-acre perimeter to make sure nobody slips thru the fence.
It’s the 83rd annual Monterey County fair… and it runs until Monday
