Monterey County authorities have arrested a suspected child molester. Following an investigation, 37 year old Kevin Crane, of Salinas, was taken into custody and charged with 96 counts of committing lewd acts with a child under 14 years old. Crane has also been charged with sexual abuse and child cruelty. Crane was booked into Monterey County Jail in lieu of 5 point 3 million dollars bail.
