A new mobile-phone application has been launched in California, that offers users emergency information, as well as maps of (and information about) registered sex-offenders. The “alert ID” app is similar to the santa cruz police department’s application, but delivers more information on sex-offenders, earthquakes, severe weather, and offers other emergency tools. The app is available for iphone and android users.
