The chance of voters seeing a debate by candidates for Monterey County Sheriff is unlikely. Candidate Scott Davis has issued a debate challenge to the incumbent Sheriff Steve Bernal. A spokesperson for the Sheriff says the campaign has already address all of the challenger’s allegations. They also state that with the election less than a month away scheduling the event would be problematic.
