THE MONTEREY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAS RELEASED MORE DETAILS ON TWO ESCAPED INMATES. 20-YEAR-OLD JONATHAN SALAZAR AND 21-YEAR-OLD SANTOS FONSECA, WERE LAST SEEN DURING A ROUTINE COUNT AT 6:30 A-M. THEN SHORTLY AFTER 8 A-M THE INMATES WERE REPORTED MISSING, AFTER EXPLOITING A BLIND SPOT IN THE CELL AND MAKING A HOLE IN THE CEILING. THEY THEN MADE THEIR WAY THROUGH PIPE ENCLOSURES TO A LESS SECURE CONSTRUCTION AREA WHERE JAIL CLOTHING WAS FOUND OUTSIDE THE PERIMETER FENCING. BOTH INMATES ARE FACING MURDER CHARGES AND ARE AFFILIATED TO RIVAL GANGS. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION SHOULD CALL 9-1-1
