Reverend Martin Luther King Junior was honored at events around the nation today, and one of those was in Seaside. A parade and speeches took place. When asked, many there expressed concerns about what might happen to their civil liberties once president-elect Trump is inaugurated this coming Friday. Other people marched in support of the environment and diversity. In Salinas advocates for the poor marked M-L-K Day by calling for an end to poverty, and the creation of a New Poor People’s Campaign.
