Caution… slow for sea otters. New speed bumps and caution signs have created a safe crossing at a popular wildlife viewing area in Moss Landing.
The new otter crossing is located on jetty road at moss landing state beach and is funded by the state coastal conservancy and the sea otter recovery fund.
The safe crossing came about following the death of an otter on moss landing road a few years ago named Mr. Enchilada… presumably after the Whole Enchilada. The otter was hit and killed as it tried to cross the road there.
