THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM IS ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN HELPING TO FIND A MISSING BOULDER CREEK WOMAN. 54 YEAR-OLD WENDY ELIZABETH RIVAS (WHO’S NICKNAME IS “DRAGONFLY”) WAS REPORTEDLY LAST SEEN AROUND 10 P.M. WEDNESDAY NIGHT, AT HER HOME ON THE 13 THOUSAND BLOCK OF HIGHWAY 9. RIVAS’ HUSBAND SAID SHE JUST SAID SHE WAS GOING OUTSIDE TO LOOK AT THEIR GARDEN (AND THAT WAS AROUND 10 P.M., BUT, WHEN SHE HADN’T COME BACK IN BY 11 P.M., HE CALLED 9-1-1. RIVAS HAS A HISTORY OF SEIZURES, AND AT LEAST A MINOR HEAD INJURY (FROM WHAT IS THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN A SEIZURE) EARLIER THAT DAY. RIVAS IS DESCRIBED AS BEING 5 FEET 7 INCHES TALL, AND WEIGHING 150 POUNDS. SHE HAS BROWN HAIR THAT IS RED AND PURPLE AT THE TIPS, SHE WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A LONG-SLEEVED PURPLE SHIRT AND PURPLE PANTS.
