Here’s an update on the “mineral fire” burning near Coalinga in Fresno county.
The fire is only 20-percent contained and now burning toward Monterey county. The Monterey county office of emergency services issued an evacuation advisement for the communities of Lewis Creek and Priest Valley.
The blaze is centered near highway 198 and several communities in that area have already been evacuated.
