The 129th Rescue Wing of the California Air National Guard based in Mountain View will conduct a flyover of Monterey, Gilroy, and Salinas on Memorial Day.
According to the National Guard, the flight, by a single HC-130J Combat King aircraft, is intended to demonstrate Air Force’s continued readiness and to express gratitude to health care providers, first responders, and other essential personnel on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19.
The aircraft will be visible in the Hollister, Salinas, and Gilroy regions sometime between 1:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on Memorial Day.
