medical cannabis is in the spotlight again. this time it is not for its purported psychoactive pain relieving effects. another compound found primarily in the leafy part of the plant, know as cannabidiol or c-b-d exhibits evidence of fighting cancer cells. during laboratory research of c-b-d, the compound has been observed slowing and in other cases reversing the growth of cancer cells. so far, all studies have been performed on animals, researchers feel it is time to test the effectiveness of c-b-d on humans and have designed 2 studies that are waiting for approval.
