How to pay for repairs (and upgrades) to the dams at Lake San Antonio and Lake Nacimiento are being discussed by Monterey county officials. The total costs are expected to be about $160-million. The already-vetted options include a 20 (or 30) year bond to repay a loan to fund the work…..or a pay-as-you-go method…..or a hybrid of both of those.
