an increased speed limit on a hollister road has been approved by the san benito county board of supervisors. the speed limit on mccloskey road between fairview and san felipe road is set to be increased from 40 miles per hour to 55 miles per hour. a traffic data study was conducted earlier this year that found 85 percent of vehicles traveled at an average speed of 63 miles per hour. the speed limit increase is set to take effect in 30 days.
