A 24 year-old local non profit organization has changed it’s name. The group that was Mountain Bikers Of Santa Cruz has changed to the more inclusive name of Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship. The group, which has already been building, maintaining, and stewarding…..hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails, so organizers say that the name change reflects how the group’s mission has changed.
Organizers say they also hope the name change will help them recruit more volunteers (who are not mountain bikers) to help work on the trails.
