(06:58) SACRAMENTO – A state bill that would target the finances of criminal organizations is moving forward to the Senate. AB 443 passed unanimously off the Assembly floor Thursday. The legislation, authored by Assemblymember Luis Alejo, would allow prosecutors to freeze accounts linked to gang activity. Currently, authorities are required to give notice before freezing an organization’s assets. Those linked to cases of kidnapping or other violent crimes would also be subject to the law. (S.G.)
