(20:45) GILROY – A wildfire broke out near Gilroy on Wednesday. About 120 firefighters from the Gilroy Fire Department and Calfire responded to the vegetation fire reported shortly before 1 p.m. above The Eagle Ridge Golf course. Crews used six fire engines and two bulldozers to carve a containment perimeter around the seven acre blaze. Fire officials declared the fire 100 percent contained at about 3 p.m. Mop up crews remained on scene to look for hot spots and to fully extinguish the blaze. No injuries or structure damage have been reported at this time. (P.M.D.)
