(11:45) Santa Cruz County – The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office reported that people in our community are being scammed by a caller saying that a loved one has been kidnapped or is in Jail. The caller has been requesting payment via gift cards. If a call like this is received the community is advised to notify authorities before taking any other action.
